Dean first joined Engineering Industries as a summer intern. After receiving his degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Dean joined full-time in 1979 as a Project Engineer. Dean served as the President and CEO of Engineering Industries from 1995 until 2021. He shaped his career by taking on a variety of responsibilities and roles within the company including, project engineer, quality manager, plant manager, vice president, and president. Dean is a registered Wisconsin Professional Engineer.

Dean had the pleasure of working with Engineering Industries founder Ron Daggett for 22 years and considered him a mentor. “Every day is a new day with new challenges. It keeps things interesting.”

When Dean is not busy running the company, he enjoys spending time outdoors, fishing and woodworking.
